About Me
With over 10 years professional experience in film, television, opera and theatre, I bring a wealth of expertise and a deep understanding of sewing craftsmanship to my business. My career includes 8 years making costumes for the leading ladies of Outlander. Now I freelance making bridal wear and sewing for my community while working on regular productions at the Scottish Opera and films in Scotland.
I was trained in fashion, but specialised in historical ladies-wear, and I love to bring it all together to make special bespoke garments, especially vintage and historically inspired gowns, and non-traditional bridal wear. I’m also passionate about creating a body-positive space and a size-inclusive experience. I believe everyone should feel fantastic in their clothes, regardless of their shape or size. I’m a queer-friendly business and everyone is welcome and safe in my workroom.
Outside the workroom I’m a bit of a bird watching nerd and a budding boardgame geek. I love gardening and enjoying nature with my daughter.
